Teneriffe News collects the name, email address, message and optional information you submit through this site. We save submissions in a private database for editorial review and to respond to enquiries.
Optional analytics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand page views, visits and reading engagement. Google processes browser and device information, a cookie identifier, and approximate location derived from your connection. Information may be processed outside Australia. Analytics cookies last up to six months. We do not enable advertising personalisation or send form contents to Analytics. Private newsroom pages are excluded, and page URL queries and fragments are removed from our analytics configuration.
Analytics stays off until you choose Allow analytics. You can decline or withdraw permission using Cookie settings in the footer; declining does not affect access to the site. Your choice is stored on this browser. Withdrawal stops future collection, but does not erase previously collected data. See Google’s privacy policy for its processing practices.
Newsletter interest
Newsletter requests include a record of your permission and the time it was provided. Regular email delivery has not started. Newsletter interest is separate from story tips, event submissions and advertising enquiries.
Access and removal
The publication owner can access submissions in the private newsroom. You can request a correction, deletion or withdrawal of newsletter interest through the publication contact form. We retain information only while it remains useful for the enquiry or editorial purpose, and review resolved submissions for deletion.
Spam prevention
We use field validation, a hidden spam field and a short-lived hashed request identifier to limit repeated submissions. The identifier is used for rate limiting, not audience profiling.
Service providers
The website and database are hosted through Sites on Cloudflare infrastructure. External links have their own privacy practices. No payment details should be submitted through these forms.
