Ownership & funding

Who is behind Teneriffe News, and how commercial relationships are handled.

Teneriffe News is a privately owned local publication within the same suburb-news network as Woolloongabba News. Other publications in the network include Hamilton, West End, Spring Hill, Ashgrove, Redland Bay, Ripley and Morayfield News.

How the publication is funded

The commercial model includes advertising, sponsorship, business memberships and partner campaigns. News and neighbourhood guides remain free to read.

Editorial independence

Advertisers cannot buy favourable independent reporting, suppression of legitimate coverage or approval of editorial conclusions. Paid placements are clearly identified. A business does not need to advertise to request a correction or appear in the basic directory.

Related business interests

The owners also have real estate and property interests, including Woolloongabba Real Estate and Australian Commercial & Residential Group (ACRES). Material relationships must be disclosed in relevant coverage. Commercial enquiries and reader submissions must not be treated as permission for unrelated property marketing.

Questions about ownership, funding or a potential conflict can be submitted through the publication contact form.
