Use address-specific information when checking a home or preparing for severe weather. A suburb name or proximity to the river does not establish the flood risk of an individual property.
Check the official maps
Brisbane City Council provides the Flood Awareness Map and FloodWise Property Report. Read the explanation accompanying each product and ask Council about questions concerning a particular address.
Keep building and travel contacts
Know where your building publishes notices, who manages shared areas and how to report an urgent problem. Check Translink before travelling if severe weather affects services.
This page is a directory of information sources. It does not provide a property flood assessment or a live emergency alert. In an emergency, follow official warnings and instructions.
